·               Performed parameter audit of 2.5 GHz LTE Chicago D1 and D2 sites

·               Created Excel macro to automate parameter audit of 2,5 GHz LTE sites.  These parameters include cell parameters, A1, A2 and A5 parameters and EUTRA parameters to follow golden parameter rules.

·               Created Excel macro for the purpose of binning scanner data based on distance or time.  The output of this tool is a reduced file sized version of the original scanner data removing duplicate points as well as averaging of the data points by in terms of distance or time depending on the input of the user.

1/2013 – 7/2014 Senior RF Engineer (contracted to Samsung for Region 2E Sprint NV market)

·               Pre and post-launch CDMA-1X/EVDO/LTE deployment and optimization of Western PA, Central PA and Pittsburgh market.  This includes joining migration bridge calls and taking care of RF issues related to the migration.

·               Used Planet to evaluate coverage of 800 and 1900 CDMA-1x voice

·               Ensure successful LTE ATP of all sites by following the design parameters specified in the Playbook.  Ensure that PCI are transmitting in correct direction, clockwise and counter-clockwise handover is successful, eHRPD neighbors defined, ping latency passes 90ms, DL throughput exceeds 7 Mbps and UL throughput exceeds 5 Mbps. No critical alarms should be present on the site.  VSWR readings must be within specs.

·               Monitor LTE performance on a per market basis in terms of RRC connection failure rate, connection drop rate, S1 setup rate, and Average sector UL and DL throughput, Init ERAB success rate.

·               Performed cluster CDMA-1X/EVDO optimization of Western PA market to improve KPIs in comparison with legacy performance.  This includes coverage validation and no harm report generation using Mobile Meridian.

·               Automated pre-launch CDMA-1x and EVDO neighbor list creation using Microsoft Access database.

·               Performed parameter audits for consistency.  Examples of such parameters from the parameter dump are: Transmit Attenuation, Registration Zones, T Add, T Drop, TComp, FA Index and FA Ids.

·               Post processed and analyzed drive test phone and scanner data using XCAP. This includes preparation of site acceptance reports to indicate whether the site meets the minimum criteria for site acceptance.

·               Performed Data Fill functions for 1st Carrier, 2nd Carrier, 3rd Carrier, 4th Carrier, New Site Builds and Special Events AT&T UMTS/ GSM sites.

·               Performed checks on internal/external and 1st tier UMTS/GSM neighbor relations using Ericsson OSS tools such as the Cellular Network Administrator and OSS common explorer, before launching of the sites.  If any neighbors are missing, they are created using OSS common explorer for UMTS sites and Cellular Network Administrator for GSM sites. For mass UMTS neighbor relation definitions, an Ericsson tool called TEI is  being used. For mass GSM neighbor relation definition, a set of MML commands in WinFIOL is being used.

·               Performed checks on recommended node B parameters, CPICH Power, Max Transmission Power, RET(antenna tilts), interference, RSSI, EUL settings, number of HSDPA users  and active alarms if any using Ericsson OSS Explorer and AMOS before launching of the sites.

·               Attended launch call meetings for sites that are to be activated for that day.

·               Achieved tremendous productivity gain through automation, substituting tedious, 3-4 hour manual process with system taking just 30 minutes.

·               Created downlink discrepancy check process for budget parameter settings in Plant EV. Run weekly, the process allows engineers in all US markets to change and display settings correctly, with any changes automatically updated in the server.

·               In two separate assignments, provided key technical leadership for automation projects and capacity planning involving the iDEN National RF group. Worked on optimization projects for iDEN Quality Assurance functions. Primary Microsoft technologies included Access, Excel and PowerPoint VBA.
